{"id":57,"date":"2016-06-23T15:41:37","date_gmt":"2016-06-23T13:41:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wp.berndt-schwerdtfeger.de\/?page_id=57"},"modified":"2026-01-22T18:37:24","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T17:37:24","slug":"mathematics","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/berndt-schwerdtfeger.de\/?page_id=57","title":{"rendered":"Mathematics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This section contains my mathematical articles and notes, and a few from other mathematicians.<\/p>\n<p>In 2003 I added the classical paper <a title=\"Numbers of solutions of equations in finite fields\" href=\"?page_id=87#nf\"><em>Numbers of solutions of equations in finite fields<\/em><\/a> of <em>Andr\u00e9 WEIL<\/em> (with permission of the <a title=\"American Mathematical Society\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ams.org\/\"><em>American Mathematical Society<\/em><\/a>) that had at that time been unavailable.<\/p>\n<p>In 2005 I worked with <em>Jean GIRAUD<\/em> to transcribe his class notes on <a title=\"Surfaces de Riemann compactes\" href=\"?page_id=85#riem\"><em>Riemann Surfaces<\/em><\/a> into TeX. In 2007 I transcribed the course of <em>Jean-Louis VERDIER<\/em> on the <a title=\"Groupe fondamental \u00e9tale et topologique\" href=\"?page_id=85#gfet\"><em>fundamental group<\/em><\/a> into TeX.<\/p>\n<p>In 2010 I republished the course on <a title=\"Neue Behandlung der Kurven zweiter Ordnung durch Invarianten\" href=\"?page_id=75#k2\"><em>plane curves of second order and their invariants<\/em><\/a> by <em>Ernst FREUDENTHAL<\/em> and <em>Werner HEINRICH<\/em>, supplemented in 2011 by the solutions booklet to their exercises. Also in 2011 I added the Bourbaki talk of <em>Enrico BOMBIERI<\/em> on <a title=\"Counting points on curves over finite fields\" href=\"?page_id=87#cpc\"><em>Counting points on curves over finite fields<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014 appeared my reedition of the SGA d&#8217;Orsay, \u00ab en hommage \u00e0 <em>Michel DEMAZURE, Jean GIRAUD, Michel RAYNAUD et Jean-Louis VERDIER<\/em> \u00bb <a title=\"S\u00e9minaire de G\u00e9om\u00e9trie Alg\u00e9brique\" href=\"?page_id=85#sga\">S\u00e9minaire de G\u00e9om\u00e9trie Alg\u00e9brique<\/a>.
